Castlebar Physiotherapy & Acupuncture Clinic has been providing professional physiotherapy services since 1997. Since 2003, the CPAC clinic is located at Knockthomas street, Castlebar and comprises of three comfortable treatment rooms and a gym/pilates studio. The clinic welcomes people of all ages with or without medical referral and appointments are given upon contact.

Therapists at CPAC are registered members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. The clinic now established for 22 years under the ownership of Sylvia Nagle B.Physio, lic Ac., MSc Continence/ Women's and Men's Health. Sylvia is committed to ongoing professional education with particular interest in the use of neuromodulation for pain and continence. Further to an award of Masters in Continence from Bradford University UK, Sylvia is currently pursuing further academic interests.

Castlebar Physiotherapy & Acupuncture Clinic (CPAC) is a Caring, Professional and Accredited accessible Clinic. The principle of all treatments here is to afford safe care to the highest ethical and clinical standards exemplified by using therapies that are evidence based. We aim to care for you the patient. Therapist's provide a patient centred approach empowering patients in their own recovery. We develop rehabilitation programmes to enhance therapeutic response aiming for speedy recovery to pre-injury status.

We are committed to ongoing and continuing education. A minimum of 5 years post graduate clinical experience is essential prior to commencing work in CPAC. Continuous professional development is compulsory to maintain treatment standards. The clinic operates under the governance of GDPR and under the CORU and ISCP guidelines of work practice(s). The clinic operates Mon to Friday 8.30 am to 7.30pm (last appointment 6.30Pm) Saturday (8am to 12 noon- by pre-arrangement only), free onsite parking is available.

Clinic fees may be in part reimbursed through private health insurers- or qualify for tax relief as a medical expense- claimed via the Med 1 form available from As the clinic operates both physiotherapy and acupuncture services- separate receipt forms are available depending on therapy provided. It is advisable that patients check with his/her own health insurer to predetermine the level of cover available for each service in advance of commencing therapy at CPAC.
